Koin International FZCO is an independent, technology-driven diamond sales house and a top-tier member of the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE). Based in the DMCC, Dubai, we specialise in developing efficient, flexible and transparent sales strategies that connect rough diamond producers and suppliers with the right buyers, stimulate meaningful competition and optimise sales performance.

Having historically ranked among the UAE’s leading exporters of rough natural diamonds, our experience spans the full spectrum of rough production, from ROM and melee to single stones, fancy colours and exceptional goods.

Our Team

Koin draws on years of irreplaceable hands-on expertise within the diamond industry, with a team who together combine over 95 years of experience in almost every area of production from source to retail. Our passion and expertise, along with the strategic relationships we build with our clients, makes us committed partners in achieving business goals and successes.

Adam Schulman

CEO

With over 25 years experience in rough and polished diamond trading, Adam has built businesses from the ground up, scaled operations across continents, and been part of landmark moments for the industry. He founded Koin International with the conviction that the diamond tender business could be done better — with more transparency, stronger relationships, smarter technology, and a genuine commitment to raising industry standards.

Amongst his achievements, Adam conceived and initiated the DDE Tender Best Practice Forum (a world-first tender compliance framework), facilited the GIA’s certification process for Zimbabwe fancy colour diamonds (enabling full market pricing for the first time), and pioneered remote diamond viewing during COVID.

Adam has served on panels and as a keynote speaker for several industry events.

Martin Gill

Head of Operations

Martin possesses a wealth of experience and expertise in buying, pricing and assorting rough diamonds, including adapting to constant and often swift and volatile fluctuating market conditions.

With over 25 years experience in multiple aspects of the rough diamond trade, including an extensive background with a De Beers sightholder, Martin has a robust understanding of clients’ businesses, allowing him to efficiently understand and price rough diamonds of every production. This enables Koin to handle large intakes of rough, and create very precise and tailored assortments for a large clientele.
